Do you have an app?

Yes we do.  As well as having all the current mobile phone functions, the Mindahome app provides instant notifications of new member messages and system notices independently of our email system. Also, sitters can receive instant notification of new sitting positions as soon as they are listed on the website throughout the day. Sitters can also receive more targeted notifications in accordance with their house sitting preferences by using the 'Save this search' feature on the home owners listings page.

The default setting for new sitting position notifications is to send them in accordance with the sitters preferences on their "Your account" page in their Mindahome control panel. For more targeted notifications, for example, "only listings with cats within 50 kilometres of Sydney", use the "Save this search" feature on the home owners list page Search Panel. To do this: On the home owners list page in the search panel click "Show additional filters". Make your selection from the filters available and when done, click the orange "Search" button at the bottom. Next click "Save this search" found beneath the orange "Search" button. Your "Saved search" will now take precedence over your notification choices on "Your account" page.

For two locations, for example 20km around Sydney and 20km around Brisbane, you will need to save two searches. After saving the Sydney search, you will need to click the 'Reset' link before performing and saving the Brisbane search.
  1. To cancel a saved search, click "My saved searches" then click the "Edit" button and click the "Delete" button for the search you want to delete.
  2. To delete a notification from your Notifications page in the app, slide the notification to the left then click the red delete button that is revealed.
  3. To delete all notifications at once use the menu near the top right of the page.
  4. Once you start using the app, if you no longer want to receive the morning "Latest positions" email, go to "Your account" page and un-tick "Receive notifications of new sitting positions" then click the "Submit changes" button.
