How does your service work for home owners?
Mindahome is a fully web based service that provides a place for home owners and house sitters to meet. It's like a jobs list where home owners register and provide details of their needs in their ad - they can also contact our sitters after joining. House sitters register and are able to contact and be contacted by the home owners that are listed with us - they apply for any positions that appeal to them. The home owners then interview the applicants, if not face to face then at least by phone or Skype chat. They vet the sitters by checking their credentials and references and ask to see their police clearance before choosing the one (or couple) they are happiest with. Mindahome is not involved in the selection process, our involvement is limited to providing the means for home owners and house sitters to meet.
