How does your service work?
Our web site is a meeting place for home owners who require sitters and house sitters looking for sitting opportunities. We provide the means for people to meet each other and are not involved with matching home owners with house sitters ourselves.
Home/pet owners register and provide details of their needs in their ad - they can also contact our sitters after joining. House sitters register and are able to contact and be contacted by the home owners that are listed with us - they apply for any positions that appeal to them. The home owners then interview the applicants, if not face to face then at least by phone or Skype chat. They check the sitters credentials and references and choose the one (or couple) that appeals to them the most.
It's free for home and pet owners to become members and use our service to contact our sitters and be contacted by them. For house sitters there is an annual membership fee.
We provide a fully internet based service and all you need to know and how to do it is on the website in this knowledge base and other How-to pages. Also, to help our members, when joining you will get access to our free eBook 'A Guide to House Sitting' which explains in detail how things work

How does the reply rating work?
The reply rating system only checks the first incoming message in a conversation. It starts deducting points after 2 days if you haven't replied in that time. Your rating will improve over time when you respond to other messages promptly.
I am renter not a home owner, can I still use your service.
You don't need to own the home, just be legally in charge of it so as a renter you are fine because house sitters are invited guests.
